Besides previously discussed methods of installing PLD there is also another one based on using a RescueCD. The advantage of the method described bellow is that you can make accustom yourself to PLD right during the installation stage. Even more important, using RescueCD allows you to perform more sophisticated tasks (like kernel rebuilding) that are not avialable from the standard installator.
